Birth and Postpartum Support

Whether you are at the start of trying to grow your family, undergoing fertility support, pregnant, experienced a loss, had a traumatic or difficult birthing experience or finding the modern challenges of becoming a mother difficult, Melissa is able to offer support in a variety of ways.

The vision of starting a family may end up being very different from reality and that can be hard to process at times. We can encounter challenges we weren't prepared for, experience heart-breaking loses and be left confused and angry by experiences or how we have been treated in pregnancy and birth. We can struggle to accept the many changes that come with being a mother and how this can lead to emotional distress, low mood and anxiety.

Melissa has developed a strong passion for support women to have the birth they desire following her own challenging experience of birth. She wants to support women to feel confident, informed and empowered to advocate for their birth choices and decisions and to feel confident in both their mind and body leading up to the birth of their baby. â€‹

Pregnancy and Prior to birth support:

These sessions are where you can build your confidence in advocating for your birth choices, develop a personalised birth plan, learn breathwork and affirmations and a focus on developing a positive birthing mindset. Become aligned with your body and connect to it's power in order to create the right environment for your birth. Release fear of birth and surrender in order to trust the wisdom of your body to bring your baby earthside.

Postpartum and Post-birth support:

  • Counselling

  • Birth Reflection Session

  • Couples Birth Reflection Session

Birth reflection sessions are a safe space to help process your birthing experience. Sometimes things don't always go as we planned and we can be left with a sense of sadness and loss. We may have been treated in a way that has left us feeling confused and angry and having a safe space to talk about this can be very healing.

You may find having your partner attend these useful as well. They may also have some feelings around birth they would like to process.
